The 22 Festival of Images and Words is proud to present Oscar winner André Guttfreund. The Salvadoran director and producer will host an open conversation dedicated to the new fiction in cinema, followed by the screening of short films and a “Q&A” exchange with the audience.
The films that are going to be presented are:
1) In The Region of Ice
2) Teaching to Live (documentary)
3) La Petaca (Community video project directed by 15 year old Gustavo Molina, Tacuba El Salvador – Original short story by Salarrué)
André Guttfreund participated as a producer in the short film “In the Region of Ice”, winning the Oscar for “Best Short Subject” in 1976.
Reception with musical accompaniment by Carlos Bastidas.
The Consul General of El Salvador in Toronto, Mr. Oscar Armando Toledo, and renowned Canadian actor Edward Darayani will be present.
