Ana Ramirez arrived in North America 1960, where she studied at Cornell University, and worked in the Peace Corp. She came to Canada in 1966.
In 1972 she received a Diploma of Honour for her work in helping under privileged children, all over Latin America, receive a proper education.
In 1976 was appointed to form a group of citizens to participate in the political decision making process in Canada. In 2010, she received the first Volunteer of the Year award for her work with the Liberal Party of Canada.
She has also participated in 5 United Nations conferences between 1976 to present.
Ana continues to work with the Liberal Party of Canada on several political and educational projects.
